Pride In Your Work: Brian Albiter

Brian Albiter was born in Mexico City, but life didn’t keep him there for very long. He spent much of his youth in New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, Houston and Austin. Not surprisingly, Brian has a passion for travel. He’s also obsessed with learning new languages and spending time in nature.

Professionally, Brian is best known as the co-founder of Albiter Digital Solutions, which he started with his brother. Brian’s career path started off with a bit of influencer marketing. Over the years, he has grown his company into a full-service agency that does everything from creating corporate logos to building apps. His fascination with technology has given him opportunities to explore some of the latest developments in tech, including artificial intelligence and quantum computers.

Brian has remarkable experience working in various areas of technology, but he isn’t all business. He puts a heavy emphasis on spending time with his loved ones, even if that means getting out of bed well before sunrise so he’ll have spare time at the end of the day.

How would you describe your grooming routine, and what is your goal?

My grooming routine is something I do daily. I’ve always loved the concept of being well dressed and having a nice and clean look for the either office or the weekend on travels.

What does your typical day look like, and what do you do to make it productive?

My typical day consists of waking up anywhere between 4:30 a.m. and 4:45 a.m. and being at the gym at 5 a.m. After an hour and half of workout, I follow that with a healthy, clean breakfast and then it is time to get ready. Grooming, showering and having my dress shirt, suit, tie and dress shoes ready to go are essential.

At 7 a.m., once I am ready, I like to reply to emails, direct messages on Instagram, respond to text and voicemails. Soon after around between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m., I have meetings with clients that either want a website/app re-designed or built, content creation for their social media and or branding or digital marketing assistance for their business. Meetings and timing can be off depending on the day but I manage to set every meeting at a decent time. That way, I get through every one and begin working on projects with my team. Once meetings are done I began working on client’s website, apps, social media strategies, content creation and or SEO. Early evenings, I love to spend it with love ones until 8:30 p.m., which is bedtime.

How did you choose your career and why?

Initially I was in medical school with a full ride to become a physical therapist. However, after not getting into the medical program and losing my scholarship, I then began to travel with my brother, which led me to what we now know as Influencer Marketing. We began creating content for small business that had an Instagram account, which that led to website, apps, branding, logo creation, digital marketing, etc. Soon, we found ourselves providing our services to more and more businesses in Austin, Los Angeles, Houston and Mexico City. That is when we realized that what we created was a digital agency and we developed Albiter – Digital Solutions.

The BSG battle cry is Pride In Your Work. What does that phrase mean to you?

Pride, that is definitely a strong value. But what that phrase means to me has more context because I come from an immigrant family who values working hard, saving every penny and investing in the future. Growing up and having those values and that work ethic played a huge role into what I do now.

What are your personal and professional goals right now?

Personal goals have always been to radiate more joy and bring more of it love ones. As of right now my professional goals are to practice more front-end and back-end development. Grow more clientele as we are going through some company expansions from website to app. Another goal is to release my foundation called Latinas in Space, where my partner Vanessa Guerrero and I connect with aerospace companies so we can educate young Latinas about aerospace technologies and motivate them to become a multi-planetary species. Also Albiter – Digital Solutions is expanding to Architecture and Sports, which we are currently helping high school and college athletes by creating content social media and their websites. We are also connecting with various architecture companies to help design logos and house designs amongst other creative aspects.

If you could talk to a younger version of yourself, what advice would you give?

At 26 years of age, I’ve had the pleasure of traveling, connecting with marvelous individuals, beginning a digital agency, speaking at entrepreneurial events and have taken advantage of social media in a positive way. With that said, the message I would tell my younger self would be to lose an hour or two of sleep and spend it with family or a loved one more. Work ethic and strategic planning is already implemented but spending more time with loved ones is the nucleus to joy.

What are the most important things you do to make yourself more appealing to a potential partner?

First and foremost, having a clean image would be my first strong point. Second, being a gentleman in every aspect from being on time, opening doors to being the last to be seated to showing respect to everyone from the person who cleans the restroom to the person who owns the building. I believe those are strong points that are essential. Another strong point would be communication and being well rounded in every subject and not be close-minded.

What’s the most played song in your library?

Most played songs on my library are from J Balvin, Bad Bunny, Maluma, Salsa, Cuban and Cumbia music.

What’s something you recently bought that changed your life?

This has to be one of the most complicated questions thus far because I love creating memories instead of spending money on materialistic things, unless necessary. Sure, I have purchased suits, shirts, and dress shoes etc. that are a bit pricey but I see that as investments because I wear them daily and clothing is a necessity. But overall I love using money to invest in startups and other businesses that will be lucrative in the coming years. Also, I love traveling, and that is something my girl and I have dedicated ourselves to do. However, the answer to that question would be a plane ticket.

What designers, artists, trend leaders or other people are you inspired by?

Clothing wise, I love Italian made suits and every designer that mixes the traditional style of suits with modern tailoring. Individuals that inspire me would be Elon Musk, Demis Hassabis, Gwynne Shotwell and individuals that are working for SpaceX, Blue Origin, OpenAI and Neuralink.
