How would you describe your grooming routine, and what is your goal?

I’m pretty basic. Shave my head and face down to stubble, moisturize my face and keep it moving. Simple and effortless. Oh, and of course I brush my teeth.

What does your typical day look like, and what do you do to make it productive?

My life is really random. My day can consist of anything from traveling from NYC to LA or Europe to deejay, or something as simple as hanging with my amazing 3-year-old Myles. It also consists of a lot of meetings and calls with clients, as well as the startups I’ve invested in. I try to front-load my mornings with the most taxing work, when my brain is fresh.

How did you choose your career, and why?

It kinda chose me. Deejaying was a college hobby that became a college tuition payer. Then it became a rent payer, and soon a family provider. I’ve been very blessed to have a passion turn into a career.

The BSG battle cry is “Pride In Your Work.” What does that phrase mean to you?

Giving a fuck. I truly care about my craft every time I do anything, from the most mundane gig to deejaying in front of 10,000 people. And ever since I had my kid, the pride has only increased.

What are your personal and professional goals right now?

I’m working on a book! Super excited about that. I’m deejaying tons, but always I want to do more. Personally, I’m trying to lose 10 lbs.

If you could talk to a younger version of yourself, what advice would you give?

Enjoy the ride more, because it all works out in the end. As the great poet Nipsey Hussle said: it takes “dedication, hard work, plus patience.”

What are the most important things you do to make yourself more appealing to a potential partner?

Work hard. Work smart. Laugh a lot. Make sure they know I bring something to the table.

What’s the most played song in your library?

A Tribe Called Quest, “God Lives Through.”

What’s something you recently bought that changed your life?

My child. Kidding. Hmm… maybe CLEAR, so I can speed through the airport with no lines.

What designers, artists, trend leaders or others are you inspired by?

In no order: LeBron, Obama, Tinker, Gary V, Alexis O and so many more.
